INDEXING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INSTALLATION OF STATOR BARS

An indexing device for installing stator bars and a method thereof are provided to index stator bars safely about specific stator core slot of a rotary electric machine class. A structure for installing stator bars comprises a rotating unit(24) and a stator bar inserting unit. The rotating unit is pivotally fixed to the end of a rotating electric device. The rotating unit supports and controls angular positioning of the stator bar inserting unit about a stator core(14). The stator bar inserting unit supports a stator bar(16) within the stator core. The stator bar inserting unit is arranged with a specific stator core slot and angularly positions the stator bar. The stator bar inserting unit inserts the stator bar into the specific stator core slot.
