An automatic non-member recommendation system and a method thereof for a mobile instant messaging service activation are provided to recommend the usage of the corresponding mobile instant messaging service about non-members which are not subscribed to the mobile instant messaging service provided from the mobile communication. An MSS(Multimedia Session Control System)(40) transmits a conversation request generated from a service subscriber mobile communications terminal which an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) subscribed to the mobile instant messaging service is able to assist. If the message transmission request is received through MSS, IM/PS(Instant Messaging/Presence Server)(50) transmits conversation request message in an SMS to the service non-member mobile communications terminal. The dialogue require-message is transmitted to the service non-member mobile communications terminal as the short text message. The recommendation message for recommending the usage of the mobile instant messaging service is transmitted.
