The invention refers the wind-power engineering and can be used for producing energy at low speeds of the wind currents. The windmill with vertical turbine comprises a vertical bar (1), onto which it is mounted, on support bearings (2), a rim to which there are fixed blades (3), and its edge is made toothed and is meant for torque transmission through the positive gearing with a gear wheel (6), the diameter of which is much smaller than the diameter of the rim.
