A polling system and a method thereof using a scheduling method in a wireless telecommunications system are provided to improve the performance of a system by polling a channel state. A base station confirms the channel information of polling service users(401). By using a scheduling method applied to polling service users, the base station calculates the polling priority of each user(403). By using the calculated polling priority, the base station selects the user polled in this frame. The upward link resource transmitting the bandwidth request about the selected user is assigned(405). The base station transmits unicast request opportunity to the selected user(407). The base station inspects whether the bandwidth request message is received from user(409).
