The electrically conductive section (57) is extended from the body (51) and is in elastic contact with an outer lead (42). No load caused by the weight of the discharge tube (15) acts on the outer lead (42), and only the electrically conductive section (57) is in contact with the outer lead (42) in an elastic manner. As a result, stress concentration in the outer lead (42) can be prevented.
