The device (2) has a cooler (23) i.e. heat exchanger, and a bypass duct (24) connected to a control valve (25) that controls re-injection of an exhaust gas into an intake circuit. A bypass control valve (21) supplies the exhaust gas from an exhaust circuit to the duct. A heat evacuation duct (22) is equipped with cooling fins connecting the bypass control valve to the cooler. The bypass duct is surrounded by a thermally insulating substance formed of a layer of thermally insulating material.
