The invention is characterised in that the application of the liquid starting material for the rigid foamed material (5) based on isocyanate is carried out by means of a fixed tube (3) provided with boreholes and oriented towards the covering layer (4) in such a way that it is parallel and at a right angle to the direction of movement.
