The invention relates to a unit or method for controlling measuring machines or machine tools having redundantly translatorily acting axes, the partial axes that can be moved across longer distances enabling a relatively slowly accelerated partial movement across the entire measuring or machining space, and the partial axes that can be moved across shorter distances predominantly carry out movement proportions of a total movement requiring an acceleration beyond a maximum effective for the base axes, characterized in that the control of the axes involved in a path movement is separated into two process steps that can be substantially carried out separately: a) data-technical pre-processing for the separation of a planned movement path that is optimized according to machine and task-specific criteria, wherein control parameters are created for total axes or partial axes, at least additionally having one of the parameters of speed, acceleration or jerk, b) activation and regulation of all axes involved in the path movement and in the redundantly effective partial axes, based on the sequence of control parameters produced in the above-mentioned pre-processing step, in consideration of the at least one further parameter for total axes or partial axes. |
