A control apparatus wherein a simple structure is employed to allow data transfer between units to be performed at a high speed.In the control apparatus (1), data transmissions/receptions are performed between units (U1-U5) placed on a back plane (2) to share data therebetween. The control apparatus (1) includes a communication control part (21) that is connected to the units (U1-U5) via the respective ones of communication lines (L1-L5) arranged on the back plane (2) and that relays data between the units (U1-U5) via the communication lines (L1-L5).
