PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitter which can shorten the time for transmitting data. SOLUTION: In image data, a dot data element in which the image dot of an ink discharge amount with the highest birth frequency is shown and the dot data element in which the image dot of an ink discharge amount with the second highest birth frequency is shown take the same value in a higher order bit. A data block formation section 32 forms a data block in which both the bit data of the higher order bit and the lower order bit in all dot elements concerning the image data are arranged. A data compression section 33 performs the data compression of the data block by a run length system and forms the compressed file.
