PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating compressor capable of preventing an increase in the number of items. SOLUTION: This reciprocating compressor includes: a crankcase; cylinders 4B, 4C attached to the crankcase; pistons reciprocatably fitted into the cylinders 4B, 4C; a crankshaft 26 which supports the pistons by a crank section provided in the crankcase and reciprocates the pistons in the cylinders 4B, 4C during rotation; and a motor 8 rotating the crankshaft 26 by rotating a rotor 8B provided coaxially with the crankshaft 26 on the outside of the crankcase.
