PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to reduce an ink consumption by properly matching color to an output device. SOLUTION: A corrected profile acquiring portion 104 calculates corrected coordinate values based on the standard coordinate values stored in a standard profile P color-matched to a predetermined printer, and stores the calculated values in a corrected profile PC. A color conversion processing portion 102 converts input image data into CMYK data using the corrected profile PC. As compared with the coordinate values before correction (standard coordinate values), the corrected coordinate values have increased K component value and reduced CMY component values. Moreover, a color difference between the corrected coordinate values and the standard coordinate values stored in the standard profile P is smaller than a predetermined value. Therefore, the CMYK data converted by using the corrected profile PC is color-matched to the printer, while a less amount of ink is required for printing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
