PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding jig which is capable of adhesively holding a sticking object for a long period of time and desirably separating the adhesively held sticking object in a desired manner, and a sticking object separating method of desirably separating the sticking object adhesively held at an adhesive holding unit while keeping the adhesiveness of the adhesive holding unit. SOLUTION: The holding jig 1 includes a plurality of adhesive projecting members 10 arranged in parallel with one another, each projecting member 10 having a front end adhesive holding unit 14 capable of adhesively holding the sticking object, and a plurality of nonadhesive projecting members 20 arranged to be capable of advancing and retreating relative to the adhesive projecting members 10. The sticking object separating method is carried out to advance the nonadhesive projecting members 20 relative to the adhesive projecting members 10 in the direction of the axis thereof to separate the sticking object from the adhesive projecting members 10.
