PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female electrical contact for an electrical connector which can be easily manufactured and in which a manufacturing cost can be reduced and a reliable contact force with a male contact piece can be secured with a durability, and provide a manufacturing method of the above. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a female type electrical contact of an electrical connector includes a process in which, for a plane sheet member 1 of which an upper and lower sheet portions 2, 3 extending in parallel are combined by a top end combining portion 4 and an intermediate combining portion 5, the upper and lower sheet portions between a top end intermediate portion 4 and an intermediate combining portion 5 are press-processed and curved portions 6, 7 having different central positions in a lengthwise direction are formed and thereafter a backward portion beyond one or both of the intermediate combining portions 5 of the upper and lower sheet portions is bent and then the upper and the lower sheet portions 2, 3 are bent upward in right angles along with a border line a, b between the top end combining portion 4 and the intermediate combining portion 5, as a bending line.
