PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of deterioration in discharging characteristics of a protection film formed by a conventional protection film forming method, since the protection film has uniform orientation characteristics on a dielectric and there is a limit in balancing the characteristics. SOLUTION: The protection film is divided into an area of an anti-sputtering function and an area of a wall charge holding function using a technique of forming the protection film to have areas of different characteristics. The protection film of excellent sputtering resistance and discharge responsiveness can be obtained to achieve long-lasting stable display quality while reducing the deterioration of discharging characteristic.
