PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical system capable of satisfactorily correcting the aberration including chromatic aberration, easily manufactured and excellent in environmental resistance, and to provide optical equipment having the same. SOLUTION: The optical system having at least either a movable lens group moving in an optical axis direction or a fixed lens group immovable in the optical axis direction includes a plurality of dioptric elements which are formed of resin and whose signs of focal length are equal to each other at least in one lens group. The refractive powerϕi for a d-line of the i-th dioptric element counted from an object side, the refractive powerϕG of a negative lens in the lens group in which the plurality of dioptric elements are included and average refractive powerϕa for the d-line of the plurality of dioptric elements are appropriately set.
