PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope device for accurately and efficiently acquiring information regarding light quantity and favorably acquiring image information of a sample. SOLUTION: This microscope device comprises an image formation optical system, a lighting system which illuminates an object surface of the image formation optical system, an imaging element arranged in the image formation region of the image formation optical system, and a detector which detects light quantity in the image formation region and in a predetermined region other than the imaging element.
