PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DME ground apparatus for implementing a function not to process signals of interrogators of which the frequencies are separated by 900 kHz or more from a center frequency allocated to the channels of the frequencies of the interrogators. SOLUTION: A transponder part 20 of the DME ground apparatus 10 converts received interrogation signals to IF signals, converts converted IF signals from analog to digital form, then computes three items of detection output of the interrogation signals converted from analog to digital form and two frequencies separated by±900 kHz as setting the frequency of the interrogation signals as a center frequency, and compares the size of the three items of computed detection output with one another to determine the transmission of response signals.
