The invention relates to a method for controlling a production machine, especially a printing press, which guides a substrate and has at least two units that are each provided with an independent drive, in case of a fault in a power supply system of the production machine. In said method, a fault of the power supply system is detected, and a connection is established between the units in the form of a DC link interconnection system in order to be able to transmit power from one unit to one or more other units. The invention also relates to a production machine, especially a printing press, comprising first units for guiding a substrate, e.g. a web, at least one drive for the first units, second units for processing the substrate, at least one drive for the second units, a power supply system for supplying electric power to the drives, a first DC link for at least one of the drives of the first units, a second DC link for at least one of the drives of the second units, at least one connecting device (KM) which electrically interconnects the DC links, preferably by means of a DC link interconnecting system, and preferably disconnects the DC links from one another in such a way that current can flow only from one of the DC links, preferably the second DC link, towards the other DC link. |
