A method for transmitting and controlling data related to medical prescriptions provides that a drug is prescribed by a doctor and is characterised in that it provides that the patient sends a request for the drug to a centre authorised for drug dispensing, through automated communication means; such requests are controlled and dealt with by doctors of the centres authorised for drug dispensing. The invention also describes a transmission and control system which utilises the above-described method.
