<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a game processing by a stable load by preventing the processing load of a system from varying depending on the quantity of target objects. <P>SOLUTION: This game apparatus jets out a mobile object from a specified arms object and moves the mobile object within a three-dimensional space provided that an input to an input apparatus has been received. At least one of the size, the shape and the quantity of a contact determination region which is set for the mobile object changes in response to the distance by which the mobile object has moved in the three-dimensional space. The game apparatus determines whether the contact determination region of the mobile object and the contact determination region of a target object have come into contact or not.
