COMPACT AS-GROWN ARTIFICIAL QUARTZ CRYSTAL FOR DECORATION AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact as-grown artificial quartz crystal for decoration having an outside dimension of <5 cm and a clasp which is incorporated in the artificial quartz crystal during growth of the quartz crystal in such a manner that a hook part of the clasp is exposed from the quartz crystal, and to provide its production method.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the compact as-grown artificial quartz crystal includes: a process for preparing a plurality of seed quartz crystals 3a each having a predetermined shape, in which a clasp 3d is attached to a hole 3c formed in the Y-axis direction; a process for suspending and supporting the plurality of the seed quartz crystals 3a each with the clasp 3d attached thereto by engaging the plurality of the seed quartz crystals 3a with a supporting tool in an upper space of an autoclave; and a process for heating the autoclave at a predetermined temperature to dissolve lascas stored in a lower space of the autoclave with a growth solution and growing a quartz crystal by depositing SiO2molecules on the surface of each seed quartz crystal 3a. By the method, the as-grown artificial quartz crystal 3b is produced in such a manner that a portion of the clasp 3d is incorporated in the quartz crystal beforehand and a hook part of the clasp is exposed from the quartz crystal.
