PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can efficiently perform seamless handover of a mobile entity, without loss of packets. SOLUTION: This method performs seamless handover from a first access node A to a second access node B of the mobile entity for receiving data of a multicast session. The data are stored in a buffer (SHB) of the mobile entity before session data are delivered to a target receiver, and session packets are stored in a buffer (HMH) of the access node A, during a handover period. After the completion of handover, the mobile entity participates in the multicast session at a new destination and requests the buffer (HMH) of the access node A for packets which have not been received during handover. In response to this request, the buffer (HMH) of the access node A transmits the stored packets toward the buffer (SHB) of the mobile entity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
