PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which reduces risk of information leakage. SOLUTION: An information processing system comprises: a portable terminal including a terminal wireless part for communicating with an external information processing apparatus, a storage part for storing data encrypted by using a public key and a terminal control part for transmitting a secret key request signal for requesting a secret key corresponding to the public key to the external through the terminal wireless part, and when receiving the secret key from the outside, decrypting the encrypted data by the secret key and displaying the decrypted data on a display part; and a portable information processing apparatus including a wireless part for communicating with the portable terminal, a storage part for storing the secret key and a control part for transmitting the secret key to the portable terminal through the wireless part when receiving the secret key request signal.
