PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper and a speaker which satisfies contradictory requirements such as linearity of an amplitude displacement for a small input signal and an amplitude limit for a large input signal, and further has a good symmetry of front and rear amplitudes with less distortion. SOLUTION: The damper and speaker contain: an inner peripheral sloping part formed between a peak and a valley on the innermost peripheral side of an inner peripheral part and a corrugation part; and an outer peripheral sloping part formed between the peak and valley on the outermost peripheral side of an outer peripheral part and the corrugation part. A cross-sectional shape in a radial direction of a support movable part is symmetric to a normal prescribing a center part of the corrugation part, and an end on the inner peripheral side of the inner peripheral sloping part and an end on the outer peripheral side of the outer peripheral sloping part are planar and prescribed on an identical reference plane. A height from the reference plane of the peak and valley of the corrugation part is highest at the center part of the corrugation part, and is gradually lowered toward the inner peripheral sloping part and the outer peripheral sloping part.
