DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR FORMING IMAGE AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the user to determine the presence or absence of shrinkage in a printing image depending on the presence or the absence of overlapping of a binding-margin region and a printing image region. SOLUTION: A device for forming an image is composed of: an original-carrying reading section 2 reading the image data of a reading original; an image forming section 3 containing a printing means printing the image data; and a paper taking-off processing section 5 post-treating printing paper after completion of printing as a post-treatment means. The device for forming an image is further composed of a control section 51 having a region specifying function specifying an image region from the reading image data. The control section 51 reads the image data of all originals by the original-carrying reading section 2 when post-treatment is set, determines the image region of the reading image data by the region specifying function and determines the presence of the setting of the binding-margin region on the basis of the specified image region.
