PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent incomplete content recording during loop recording. SOLUTION: This recording apparatus is provided with a first region generating section for generating, on a recording medium, a first recording region to record a first stream data; a second region generating section for generating, on the recording medium, a second recording region for repeatedly overwriting second stream data different from the first stream data; a management information recording section for recording management information for managing the second recording region on the recording medium; a data recording section for recording the second stream data in the second recording region; a management information managing section for setting partial regions for dividing the second recording region by updating the management information corresponding to recording of the second stream data and controlling them to be within a predetermined number of partial regions, and a region moving section for moving the second stream data recorded in the second recording region to the first recording region.
