PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall material for building, easily recycled, and a manufacturing method for the same. SOLUTION: This wall material for building includes: a base material layer including a main material, reinforcement material dispersed and retained in the main material and a binder integrally connecting the main material and the reinforcement material; and a facing layer integrally fixed to at least one surface of the base material layer, wherein the main material used is formed of diatomaceous earth, the reinforcement material used is formed of plant fiber, and the binder used is formed of polylactic resin and starch.
