METHOD FOR PURIFYING CYCLOHEXYL ISOCYANATE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING GLIPIZIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying cyclohexyl isocyanate in a simple operation without the need of heating treatment on reactive reagent addition or conducting distillation, or with neither dealing with exposure nor using a large-scale apparatus. SOLUTION: The method for purifying cyclohexyl isocyanate comprises the step of bringing the cyclohexyl isocyanate in a liquid phase into contact with a synthetic zeolite with an average pore size of 3-5Å. A method for producing glipizide is also provided, involving using the thus refined cyclohexyl isocyanate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
