[Class 64 (iii).] In a heat exchanger comprising metallic corrugated strips 1, 2, shaped and assembled in pairs to provide channels longitudinally for fluid to be cooled, and channels therebetween for cooling- fluid, and having interposed strips 3 between the pairs of corrugated strips, the strips 3 are formed with bridge-like projections or fins 4 which extend into the channels for the cooling-fluid. The upper parts of the fins are formed at an angle to the direction of flow of cooling fluid, as shown by arrows 5, and these angles for a number of projections may increase along any one channel and in the direction of flow of the cooling-fluid. |
