PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress buckling of a rear side member at rear-end collision of a vehicle while suppressing increase of the number of parts and weight. SOLUTION: In the vehicle body rear part structure, on an intermediate part in a longitudinal direction of the rear side member 18, a folded/bent part 19 is formed at a position opposed to a rear tire, and the intermediate part in the longitudinal direction of the rear side member 18 is projected to an inner side of the vehicle width. Here, on a side wall 18A of the rear side member 18, an inclination part 22 is provided at an inner side in the vehicle width direction of the folded/bent part 19, and an inner side in the vehicle width direction of the folded/bent part 19 is twisted so as to contract an area of a closed cross section 20 of the rear side member 18 and the rear floor panel 12. Therefore, on the folded/bent part 19, a curvature of a center S1 of the closed cross section 20 becomes smaller than a curvature of the folded/bent part 19 itself. Further, to an inner side surface (inclination wall 22) in the vehicle width direction on the folded/bent part 19, a rear suspension member 24 is connected through a body mount 26.
