PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire forming machine which has a simple configuration and attains low-vibrational operation of machine units. SOLUTION: Each of tools (15), (17) and (18) is moved by feeding motion from an initial position away from a wire (3) to a working position on the wire (3). The wire (3) passes through a reentrant (14) and is fed to the working area of the wire forming machine (1). Each tool is fixed to a tool plate (7) by tool feeding motion relative to the tool plate (7), and the feeding motion of each tool to the working position is made only by the motion of the corresponding tool plate. The tool plate is fitted into a second plate (8) and can be displaced in a first direction (x) relative to the second plate. The second plate (8) can be displaced in a second direction (y) relative to a machine frame (4). Both directions (x) and (y) are respectively inclined at an angle of 45 degrees to the perpendicular axis (H-H) of the wire forming machine (1) and intersect at a right angle.
