A wave dissipating block for covering an inclined breakwater or a revetment and the covering method thereof are provided to have excellent wave dissipation effect, hydrophilic effect and constructability, to minimize the quantity of rubble, and to secure safety, to shorten a period of construction and to cut down the cost by simplifying a process. A wave dissipating block for covering an inclined breakwater or a revetment comprises an E-shaped wave dissipating block, many trapezoidal projections formed on a surface wall to make a wall of the bottom of the projection at a level and the upper part in a concave shape to connect and assemble upper and lower blocks, and water discharge port formed between the projections, wherein an E-shaped buttress is formed on the rear of the surface wall of a surface structure and female, and male keys are formed on the top and bottom of the buttress and the sides of right and left buttress to be assembled with each other. |
