<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a replacement unit enabling the component cost, the manufacturing cost and also the servicing cost thereof to be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes an apparatus body 100, and the replacement unit 70 attachable to/detachable from a storing part provided in the apparatus body 100, wherein the apparatus body 100 includes a first communication function element 110, and the replacement unit 70 includes: a second communication function element 73 which can communicate with the first communication function element 110 and is shielded from electromagnetic waves except for one part in the periphery; and a shielding member 74 which, when the replacement unit 70 is attached to/detached from the storing part, opens/closes one part in the periphery according to the attachment/detachment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
