摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method using one component nonmagnetic toner which does not make it difficult to regulate the thickness of a toner layer on a developing roller and hardly causes leakage of the toner through a regulating member or scattering on an upper sealing. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method includes: a step (A) of supplying one component nonmagnetic toner from an elastic supply roller to a metal developing roller; and a process (B) of developing an image with the one component nonmagnetic toner carried by the metal developing roller. The one component nonmagnetic toner comprises: coloring particles containing a binder resin and a colorant and having an average circularity of 0.95 to 0.97; and as an external additive agent, specified hydrophobic rutile-anatase titanium oxide particles (a), specified hydrophobic monodispersion spherical large silica particles (b) and 0.5 to 3.0 parts by mass of specified hydrophobic small silica particles (c). The external additive agent is added in a multi-stage process, in which the hydrophobic rutile-anatase titanium oxide particles (a) are added to the coloring particles at first in the multi-stage process. The elastic supply roller rotates along with the metal developing roller rotate at a contact point. The layer thickness of the one component nonmagnetic toner conveyed by the metal developing roller is controlled to be 1 to 2 layers, preferably 1 to 1.6 layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
