PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knocking determination device for an internal combustion engine improving judgment accuracy of existence of knocking. SOLUTION: The knocking determination device determining the existence of knocking based on vibration intensity of the engine is provided with a vibration waveform sampling means S420 sampling vibration waveform of each of a plurality of different selected bands set in a knocking frequency band when a frequency band where there is possibility of appearance of a knocking waveform in the vibration waveform indicating vibration intensity, a false knocking judgment means S448 judging whether false knocking waveform appears on each of a plurality waveforms sampled when retardation control forcibly retarding ignition timing is executed, and a knocking judgment means judging whether knocking waveform appears on vibration waveform of selected bands other than the selected band in which it is judged that the false knocking waveform appears out of a plurality of the vibration waveform sampled when the retardation control is not executed.
