PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting method capable of eliminating inspection work, improving workability, and confirming the content of a storage case without providing any equipment at the sorting destination. SOLUTION: When an article is automatically sorted in the chute where a shop is allocated by an automatic sorting device 5 by one sorting unit for each shop, and the sorted article is stored in an article storage container 23, the chute number of the chute 6 and the bar code of the unstorable article are output if the unstorable article in the article storage container 23 occurs, it is determined that an article except the article is stored in the article storage container 23, and the detail of the articles stored in the article storage container 23 is issued by a printer 19.
