PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently present functions of a portable terminal on a condition meeting the manner requested within a car 2. SOLUTION: A portable terminal 8 includes, in addition to a normal operating mode, a new intra-car operating mode to stop only irreducibly minimum functions for radio wave transmission/reception exerting adverse influences upon medical appliances and voice speech or call arrival tone annoying other passengers. Only during the intra-car operating mode term, communication can be performed with an intra-car information distribution device 3 using a radio wave other than radio waves for cellular phones. Thus, a user 7 getting on the car 2 can confirms information required for the user himself/herself on his/her own portable terminal and further can utilize various functions that his/her own portable terminal includes, as needed.
