The invention relates to a method and a device for transporting items to distribution points. The items (3) are transported by means of a delivery vehicle (8) with shelf modules (2). The items (3) are provided with machine-readable identifications. The shelf modules (2) are loaded with the items outside the delivery vehicle (8) and are then transported in the delivery vehicle (8). The items are moved relative to a reading device (4). The reading device (4) then automatically reads the respective identification of an item passing the reading device (4) and determines in which shelf level the item is located. Said information is stored on an interim basis. For each distribution point, the position of each item that is to be removed at the distribution point is automatically detected in the shelf module (2) depending on the sequence of the reading of the identification and the determined shelf level in which the article is located. Preferably, the items (3) to be unloaded at the corresponding distribution points of the respective shelf module (2) are displayed. |
