<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a vehicle having an occupant crash protection device such as an airbag system and a pedestrian protective device such as a liftup system which can enhance the safety of the occupants at the time of collision. <P>SOLUTION: This safety device of a vehicle comprises: the pedestrian protective device 12 for protecting the pedestrian who is collided with the vehicle; a pedestrian collision detector 36 for detecting the collision of the vehicle with the pedestrian; a first operation control part 32 for operating the pedestrian protective device 12 when it is detected by the pedestrian collision detector 36 that the vehicle is collided with the pedestrian; the occupant crash protection device 22 for protecting the occupants inside the cabin of the vehicle at the time of collision; an impact force detector 38 for detecting that the impact force at the time of collision is such that requires the operation of the occupant crash protection device 22; a second operation control part 34 for operating the occupant crash protection device 22 when the impact force is detected to be such that requires that operation by the impact force detector 38; and an operation prohibiting device 50 for prohibiting the operation of the pedestrian protective device 12 when the occupant crash protection device 22 is operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
