<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an image recorder having an image recording section equipped with two drums heretofore employed requires a space for a maintenance operation because of placement of a maintenance section of a recording head so that a width dimension of the recorder is increased. <P>SOLUTION: In the two drums, an approaching or separating direction of a first recording head section provided on a first drum and an approaching or separating direction of a second recording head section provided on a second drum are consistent with a width direction (X axis direction) of a frame of the image recorder and are parallel to each other. In the image recorder, a space required by the first recording head and a space required by the second recording head section in the event of completion of separating are overlapped with each other in a view from a Y axis direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
