<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye composition whose dye is stable to alkalizing agents or oxidizing agents, is not decomposed, when dyeing hair, has a high dyeing force, can firmly impart a brilliant color to hair, has excellent fastness to light, washing, sweats, frictions and heat, and is reduced in the fading with the elapse of time, and to provide a method for dyeing hair with the hair dye composition. <P>SOLUTION: This hair dye composition comprises an azo dye represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each H or a substituent; A is a monocyclic or dicyclic aromatic heterocyclic residue which may have a substituent and having a free valence on a carbon atom; R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>and A do not contain any of a carboxyl group, a sulfo group and a quaternary ammonium group in their structures). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
