PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to generate the information accurately showing connection of roads. SOLUTION: The method comprises: acquiring the own vehicle position information showing the position of the vehicle; acquiring the image information showing the image around the vehicle; detecting a feature showing that the road on which the vehicle is traveling is connected with another road based on the image information; generating the road information showing the position of the road on which the vehicle is traveling and the connection of the road on which the vehicle is traveling with the other road based on the vehicle position information and the feature; and registering the road information in a memory medium.
