PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure required for detecting turning of a throttle grip and reduce an operating load before and after the throttle totally-closing position of the throttle grip in a throttle device for a vehicle for performing predetermined power control upon turning the throttle grip to a position over the throttle totally-closing position. SOLUTION: The throttle grip (21) is urged toward the throttle totally-closing position by a grip urging mechanism (35). The throttle totally-closing position is maintained by only an urging force exerted from the grip urging mechanism (35). A magnetic sensor (26) for detecting turning of the throttle grip (21) to over the throttle totally-closing position is provided in a right switch box (25) holding a handlebar proximal side of the throttle grip (21).
