PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that can decrease the dimension along the deflection direction of a lock arm for reduction in size. SOLUTION: A connector 1 has a first connector housing 4, a second connector housing 3 to be fitted to the first connector housing 4, a lock arm 9 for keeping the connector housings 4 and 3 in a fitting state, and a pair of ribs 8. The lock arm 9 has an arm part 91 standing from an upper wall 44 of the first connector housing 4 and extending along the fitting direction Z, and a pair of lock parts 92 protruding to the lateral side in the extending direction of the arm part 91 at a front end 91a of the arm part 91. Further, a pair of ribs 8 is standing from a second hood part 34, and comes in contact with the lock parts 92 at a location of the lateral side of the base end on the arm part 91 rather than the lock parts 92 with the connector housings 4 and 3 fitted to each other.
