PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATA controller with a built-in flash memory, for easily expanding the capacity of a memory card by being connected. SOLUTION: A built-in flash memory 14 and an ATA controller part 2 are integrated on a chip, and a controller connecting interface 20 is further mounted thereon. Each semiconductor device 1 can be connected to each other by the controller connecting interface, and the semiconductor device 1 detects input conditions of a control signal group FC1 and a data bus FIOB1 according to the timing of releasing a reset signal CRST just after power-ON to determine operation as an ATA controller or operation as an extension flash memory.
