PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a gas leak alarm for achieving power saving without damaging safety and a gas leak alarm having the control device. SOLUTION: When the gas concentration of an installation space detected by a gas detection means 10 to be heated to prescribed temperature for detecting gas exceeds a predetermined prescribed value, gas leak is warned. When a gas flow rate measured by a gas meter 2 is within a flow rate range in which the gas concentration of the installation space does not reach an explosion lower limit even while the gas leak with the gas flow rate continues, the heating of the gas detection means 10 to prescribed temperature is stopped.
