PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue to use a device when a memory loaded on a storage device intermittently fails, and no failure occurs again after recovery, and to detect a failure caused by hardware. SOLUTION: A program area and data area of a memory are respectively divided into a plurality of regions, and a management area and an auxiliary area are arranged. The normality of the memory is confirmed for each of the plurality of divided areas of the program area and the data area. The number of times the failure of the memory is detected is recorded for each area, and when there is an area where the recorded number of times exceeds a threshold, it is determined that the memory fails. As to the area where the recorded number of times is not more than the threshold, the information stored in the area is moved to the auxiliary area, and the number of times the information is moved and the address of the auxiliary area as the moving destination corresponding to the address of the area of the moving origin are respectively recorded.
