PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance system starting transferring operation immediately after arrival of a conveyance vehicle in front of a device without causing a stand-by time. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the conveyance system for transferring a load between the unmanned conveyance vehicle 1 and a handling apparatus 2. The unmanned conveyance vehicle 1 is provided with a transfer mechanism section 31 for transferring the load by handing in the laden load to the handling apparatus 2 or taking out the load from the handling apparatus 2, a conveyance vehicle communication section 33 for putting out a transfer request signal requesting transfer permission to the handling apparatus 2 and obtaining the transfer permission signal indicating permission to the request, and a conveyance vehicle control section 15 controlling the transfer mechanism section 31 so that the transfer mechanism section 31 conducts transferring operation within a range not intruding the handling apparatus 2 before the conveyance vehicle communication section 33 obtains the transfer permission signal.
