METHOD OF DETECTING ABNORMALITY OF SCREW FEEDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of surely detecting abnormality of a screw feeder by accurately grasping a clearance between a screw blade and a screw casing of a screw feeder. SOLUTION: An over current sensor is provided in a peripheral part of the screw casing in a part thereof wherein a screw blade is provided inside of a screw feeder for detecting abnormality by measuring a clearance between the screw blade and the inner surface of the screw casing. Namely, abnormal approach of the screw blade and the screw casing relative to each other due to abnormality of the screw blade or the like can be surely detected directly by non-contact measurement of a clearance between the screw blade and the screw casing.
